The Girls Tennis season was cut short in their 2020 season due to COVID-19, only giving them four total matches. The combination of the two-week quarantine and daylight savings forced the team to put away their racquets before they were ready. However, in their short season, the Knights went 2-2 in their season with wins against Caldwell and Mount St. Dominic. The team will return seven players next year and graduate four seniors.

Girls head tennis coach, David Semaya, acknowledged how even though the season was cut short, his love and the team’s love for the game did not waver.

“There is so much more to being on a sports team than wins and losses,” Semaya said. “While we did not get the chance to play a lot of matches, we did get the chance to spend time together as a team during summer conditioning, and fall practices. Those times we were all together as a team was such a welcome escape from reality.”
