After a successful 2019 season, the West Essex Girls Soccer team moved up into the American division. Being in the top division of Super Essex County along with competing with the top teams in the state, the girls had an 8-4-1 record.  Senior captain Emma Ribeiro led the team offensively with eight goals, while senior captain Samantha Balzano had five assists.

On the back end of the field the Knights were just as strong. In goal for the team was sophomore Ella Clausi who made 56 saves this season. Clausi was protected by a defense led by seniors Abby Lonergan, Andrea Norman, and Alexa Houmis, along with junior Remi Goldstein. The defense only allowed an average of one goal per game, keeping their team in every game.

After making it to the semifinals of states for the second consecutive season, the team looks to keep up their success in the 2021 season. With 15 returners, the Lady Knights look to pick up where they left off next August.
