The “Spider-Man” movie franchise started out in the early 2000s with Tobey Maguire playing the web slinging superhero. Since his three successful films, Marvel has made two more adaptations of the iconic storyline featuring Andrew Garfield and recently, Tom Holland. As of right now, there are only two films with Tom Holland as Spider-Man, but they are in the process of filming number three! Rumors about this new film have Marvel fans already lining up for tickets. With this new film came new rumors that are getting Marvel fans excited to see Holland hit the big screen once again.

While the plot of the last film in the trilogy is still unknown, it is expected that an array of villains are to be joining forces on the big screen. These villains include Kraven the Hunter, Scorpion and Electro and the Green Goblin. Fans everywhere are super excited about these villains coming on the big screen because we have yet to see Kraven the Hunter and Scorpion in a movie. They are also hyped to see their favorites such as Green Goblin and Electro back on the silver screen. Electro was introduced to the Marvel Universe back in 2014 with Andrew Garfield and Green Goblin made his appearance back in 2002 with Tobey Maguire. The fans, including myself, can not wait to see if this rumor holds true!

The other rumor that took the internet by storm was that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are going to be joining Tom Holland! Reportedly, they are going to try and establish a live-action “Spider-Verse” and they have signed on to reprise their respective Spider-Man roles next to Holland’s Peter Parker. Recently, Sony Pictures has addressed these rumors and said that this is going to happen but the cast is not confirmed yet. Not only are we going to get three different actors for one hero, but we are also going to get Benedict Cumberbatch’s character, Doctor Strange, in this film too! He is reported to be a mentor type figure for Peter Parker (Tom Holland). Lastly, Jamie Foxx will be coming back to play Electro! In a deleted Instagram post, he said he “won’t be blue in this one.”

Sony Pictures Entertainment in Brazil confirmed fans will be given a peek of this epic crossover Dec. 2020.The movie should hit the big screen Dec. 17 2021, despite the pandemic. Even though the wait feels like eternity, they say good things come to those who wait!
