The start of the third marking period brought change to Genesis. In an email during the midterm week, principal Caesar Diliberto announced that access to the gradebook feature in Genesis would be restricted between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. According to Diliberto, this policy was enacted because the administration and faculty believe that unlimited access to Genesis during the school day “is distracting and interferes with the teachers’ intended educational processes.” Now, over a month since the enactment of this policy, we asked students about their current feelings regarding this policy.
