28-year-old Delta Airlines pilot Peter Weber, who finished third on Hannah Brown’s “Bachelorette” run last summer, finally has an entire season all to himself. The beginning of the show consists of beautiful gowns, limos and eager singles lining up to find the love of their life. ABC’s “Bachelor” draws millions of viewers who love the romance but what they really want is all the drama that comes from the countless women all pining for the same man.

As the limos pulled up on the first episode, fans were left shocked when they realized that Brown would be returning this season. After not being Brown’s first or second choice last summer, Weber along with the fans was shocked when Brown stepped out of the limo.

To the audience’s dismay and the disapproval of the other women in the house, Peter asked her to stay. After consideration of his offer, Brown declined and left the mansion.

“When I heard Peter was the bachelor, it was honestly the best news,” senior Grace Weiss said. “I loved him during Hannah’s season because he was so genuine and now he gets to find someone. It makes me happy because he definitely deserves it.”

However, after Brown’s departure, the drama in the house was far from over. In many past seasons, there has been one man or woman that the audience does not like and stirs up drama with other contestants. This season it is 24-year-old, Alayah Benavidez. Throughout the season she has started arguments with the other women and was even accused of acting “fake” for the cameras.

Weber sent her home, but she did not go down without a fight. She returned in order to prove everyone wrong and that she came on the show for the right reasons. Although her efforts were appreciated, Weber ended up not rewarding her with a rose.

This season, there is also a clear fan-favorite. 23-year-old Madison Prewett has stolen the hearts of viewers everywhere and Peter’s heart as well. However there is a controversy surrounding the fact that Madison waited until the notorious “Fantasy Suite” episode to tell Peter that she was a virgin. The topic of sexual relationships has always been a tough one on “The Bachelor.” Madison in fact said that Peter could not sleep with the other two women in order to save their relationship. Peter did not honor her wishes and the last episode ended with Madison walking away. Peter has admitted to saying that he wishes Madison told him sooner.

“I am really hoping that Madison wins,” Junior Olivia Constantino said. “She is so nice and pretty, she deserves to win. However, I think that she can do better than Peter; what he did in the Fantasy Suite episode was so wrong and shows he does not care enough about her.”

As the show progresses into the finale and proposal, fans have begun to speculate based on spoilers online. Although nothing is for sure, fans are still hoping that Peter and Madison’s relationship can weather the storm of the other two women, Hannah Ann Sluss and Victoria Fuller.
