China has been stunned with a coronavirus that is spreading across the country and into other countries nearby. 106 people have been pronounced dead due to the virus, doubling from the day before, according to officials at China’s National Health Commission. There are currently 4,515 confirmed cases, with 976 considered severe.

Territories owned by China such as Hong Kong and Macao also confirmed that they have citizens contracting the virus. South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and the United States have also reported at least one case of the virus. The World Health Organization does not know whether to title this an international public health emergency.

Health officials from China say that the virus stems from wild animals sold at a market in Wuhan, a city with seven million people. The Wuhan authorities have warranted the use of medical masks when roaming the city. If a person leaves their house, they are instructed to wear a mask at all times.
