Trump is one of the most controversial presidents America has ever seen. From his brutal honesty to the public to his outrageous tweets, one wonders if he spends more time tweeting than actually being President of the United States.

Many get distracted by his persona and choose to focus on his negative aspects, but nobody is giving him credit for the behind the scenes. Even though many dislike Trump, there’s no denying that he has done some great things to “Make America Great Again.”

Illegal immigration has been an ongoing issue America has overlooked, until now. According to the U.S. Government Accountability Office, it states, “the national net cost of illegal aliens vary greatly, ranging from $2 billion to $19 billion.” Trump is trying to reduce the amount of illegal immigrants by having border security patrol the borders and prevent immigrants from crossing over illegally. By doing this, the cost of illegal aliens will surely decrease.

President Trump also met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. The two met together and shook hands, which is a first for any U.S. president and North Korean leader. North Korea and America have always been on bad terms and for something like this to happen, will definitely make the textbooks.

Trump continued to make history as he stood up to European countries in a NATO meeting. NATO,the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, is where Europe and America have a military alliance. Trump called out countries who aren’t paying for their countries defense costs in the meeting, leaving everyone baffled. America shouldn’t be pulling the weight for other countries when we can use that money to improve our own country. It’s time for every country to start taking their own accountability.

These are just a few things Trump is doing to “Make America Great Again.” There’s more to come out of his presidency, and America needs to stop giving him a bad reputation. Trust his judgement, after all he is our president that we elected.
