Kanye West rants on SNL platform

Rapper Kanye West made controversy yet again. He ended his live set on Sept. 29’s taping of “Saturday Night Live” with a singing performance followed by an unexpected twist. In an off-air political rant, West donned a “Make America Great Again” cap as he passionately reinforced his support for President Trump.

West invited SNL cast members back onstage to watch his speech in front of the audience. SNL cast member Kenan Thompson had some words about the bizarre ending to the show, saying, “We’re all entitled to our own opinion — I don’t know if that’s the moment, necessarily to hold people hostage like that — but hey, you know!”

Even though West’s full speech did not go live, the media has still been buzzing in response with both disapproval and praise. If one thing is certain, West is not afraid to speak his mind. “I’ma break it down to you right now. If someone inspires me and I connect with them, I don’t have to believe in all they policies.” West said.
