Pumpkin spicing it up

By Brenna Campanaro, Arts & Culture Editor

Leaves are falling and Spirit Halloween stores are popping up everywhere which means the cinnamony crisp flavors of pumpkin are back in play. Along with the usual pumpkin flavored coffee and air fresheners, this season has seen pumpkin flavored Pop-Tarts, almonds, English muffins, deodorant and soda. Although unexpected, makers of these products have worked to included these unusual finds in this year’s fall groove.

Pop- Tarts :

Kellogg’s limited edition Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts were first released in Sept. 2010 and are only sold in the fall. The frosted, pumpkin pie filled pop-tarts are currently overflowing in grocery stores worldwide.

Almonds :

Planters and other makers have their limited edition of pumpkin spice almonds. They are for faithful nut fans and anyone who craves a crunch.

Deodorant :

Native Deodorant has it’s Paraben and Aluminum Free Pumpkin Spice Latte scented deodorant for only $12.00. Some may think a pumpkin spice latte scent would be too much, but reviews mention its subtle yet refreshing scent.

English Muffins :

Thomas’ Pumpkin Spice English Muffins will fill your kitchen with a warm and full-hearted aroma. Several reviews have said that it is best with a spread of butter, peanut butter or cream cheese.

Soda :

Lester’s Fixins Pumpkin Pie Soda sold by Crazy Soda Pop is recommended to try just for the fun of it. This crazy and wild flavor of soda is bringing the fall vibe, but not a splendid taste.

The pumpkin flavor has makers of different products taking the next step to bring the fall atmosphere alive. Fall scents and tastes are officially taking over items that people would never consider them to.
