Gurbir Grewal, the first Sikh attorney general of New Jersey, made a visit to West Essex High School on Friday, June 8. Grewal, class of 1991, returned to his former school to meet up with some of the Wire reporters who interviewed him previously. Grewal spoke to these students about his experiences in high school and how the future looks bright for the next generation, as he says students today have achieved more at their young age than his classmates did. Administrators were happy to host the accomplished alumnus as he is an embodiment of where West Essex core values can lead you later in life.
