Well known American rapper and singer songwriter Post Malone released his third album “Beerbongs & Bentleys”  on April 27. There is no questioning that this album is a commercial success.

Two out of three of Post’s singles, “Rockstar” and “Psycho”, premiered at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This already hinted that his album coming out would be a hit. When Post dropped his album, he filled our ears with 18 songs and 64 minutes of catchy fun and almost tear-jerking music.

Post never announced his album release date, so when people saw the album cover they immediately got their aux cords and bluetooth speakers out. The reaction from fans and everyone in the media was overwhelmingly positive. These songs show that Post is more than just a rapper, he is an amazing lyricist that most people can relate to. The whole album deals with the concepts of fame and misfortune for the young rapper.

The 18 track release consists mostly of a mid-tempo and laid back vibe. Though “Beerbongs” is a great record, it is very repetitive despite the guest features from hip-hop big legends like Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, Ty Dolla $ign and Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee. Once one song ends, another begins with the similar chords tones and melodies. Certain tracks hold their own, but as a whole it’s over an hour of pure emotion and similarity.

Post Malone is now easily riding into summer with a handful of songs to nod your head to. Must listen to songs are “Rich & Sad” “Better Now” and “92 Explorer.” “Beerbongs & Bentleys” isn’t the best album that Post Malone has released but it is definitely an album to listen to. It will get you in your feels, and it’s totally worth purchasing.
