Student to faculty: Returning alumni shape our present culture

Generations of West Essex students have returned to take on a new role in the community as faculty members. It’s been a part of the culture for alumni staff members to carry on the traditions that shaped their own high school experiences. We asked the 12 current faculty members who attended W.E. as students to provide us with their senior photos and what their most memorable parts of high school were.

Sophia Rosen is a Managing editor on the 2024-2025 Wessex Wire. In her freetime, she enjoys playing tennis and hanging out with her friends. Fun Fact: Her favorite ice cream flavor is rocky road.

Ella Hermans, Editor-in-Chief

Ella Hermans is the 2024-2025 Editor-in-Chief of the Wessex Wire! She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, listening to music and going to the beach. She plays tennis for the West Essex team, and her favorite show is “New Girl”.

Brooke Kupferberg, Editor-in-Chief

Brooke Kupferberg is the 2024-2025 Editor-in-Chief for The Wessex Wire. She enjoys listening to music, spending time with friends and family and taking naps. She also plays tennis for the school team and loves watching her favorite TV show “Friends”.

Amanda Ippolito, Managing Editor

Amanda Ippolito is a Managing Editor for the Wessex Wire. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her cousins and friends. In her free time she is either listening to music, playing guitar or watching TV. Her favorite singers are Taylor Swift, Zach Bryan, and Luke Combs.
