The always-controversial Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has taken to the social media app X for latest rant, and this one may be the most outlandish one yet. He has combined anti-semitic ideas from previous statements and gone even further.
The chaotic rant started on Feb. 6 at 9:32 p.m., when Ye posted about P. Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, a former rap producer who has recently been accused of sex trafficking, among other serious charges. Ye said, “FREE PUFF.” This statement was extremely odd and confusing, considering how well-known his dislike of Diddy has been for years. Ye even released a collaboration with rapper Kendrick Lamar, “No More Parties in LA,” that is rumored to be about the dark truths of the parties in LA, specifically the infamous “Diddy parties.” These terrifying “parties” were exposed last year for the criminal activity occurring at them. Ye has even entertained these speculations and the lyrics line up very well with the theories. Ye’s latest comments in support of Diddy, despite his condemnation of him in the past, seem very odd, especially because there wasn’t even a real event to provoke Ye to say this.
It is even more bewildering when looking at a text Ye leaked in which he called Diddy a “fed” when Combs tried to arrange a face-to-face conversation. Ye posting this was extremely erratic, and he even proceeded to double down in his support of Diddy. “YALL A WATCH A BROTHER ROT AND NEVER SAY S**T,” Ye said. He even pleaded with the American government, tagging President Donald Trump in a post asking for Combs to be freed. Perhaps the most egregious thing he said about Diddy was stating that he was Ye’s “Hero” on social media. These comments have left fans not only confused but disappointed in Ye’s support of this accused sexual assaulter.
Soon after the Diddy controversy, Ye began to post one of his most shocking and horrifying opinions. Ye told X, “SLAVERY IS A CHOICE.” In a 2018 TMZ interview, Ye had said that 400 years of slavery sounded like a choice to him, but just a few months after he apologized for the inconsiderate take. Ye bringing up the topic again, similar to the Diddy tweets, had no provocation at all. This followed Ye’s trend of tweeting out his most morally wrong opinions for no reason, as if he were just saying them for engagement.
Ye then returned to voicing his racist opinions, saying that the recent hate of Diddy has come from Jewish and white people. He claimed that they tell black people, which he referred to as the c-slur, what to say. As all the wild things Ye says are, these opinions are very contradictory to past statements. In fact, in 2022 he was under fire for opposing statements of “White Lives Matter.”. He received an abundance of backlash for wearing clothing that had this phrase.
Ye has also made absurd statements that he is a Nazi and he loves Hitler. Around the same time, he also called white people racists, which is ironic considering he was calling himself a Nazi. His “grand finale” of absurdity came when he posted “I used to be woke too,” and attached a picture with him from over 20 years ago with a “Say no to Nazis” shirt.
Ye has not just contained his hateful messaging to social media. He aired a commercial during this year’s Super Bowl, although it may be generous to even call it that. It featured him in a dentist room on the bed, seemingly very high on nitrous. He wasn’t even able to say coherent sentences, but he definitely caused chaos. He told viewers to go to the Yeezy website, but the only thing on there was a white shirt that had a black swastika on it.
There was a time when Ye did not post on social media, a relief to everyone. However, his return may have been one of his craziest episodes. He claimed that his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, wouldn’t let Ye see his daughter anymore. North West was seemingly prohibited from seeing her father because he wants to feature her on a song “Free Diddy.” Based on the accusations against Diddy, this is disgusting and offensive.
In the process of this absurd manic episode, Ye has lost every single connection he had in his career, which spanned more than 25 years. His most notable fallout was the recent one with JAY-Z, who was known to be Ye’s mentor. In an odd turn of events, he called JAY-Z’s child the r-slur on Twitter with no provocation. This was just the start though, because later that day he tweeted asking JAY-Z to shoot him dead. This is extremely random, but it does confirm he has mental health issues that he is very well aware of. Based solely through social media, fans can see he seems to truly be struggling after losing his family, friends and connections in the music industry.
His delusion was proven even further because the same day he tweeted how everyone betrayed him, including names such as Virgil Abaloh, JAY-Z, Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, his children, the black community and unsurprisingly, Jews.
With no evidence, he also claimed that Kim Kardashian is a “sex trafficker.” This is extremely hypocritical, considering he wants his young daughter to sing about Diddy. He also is a new supporter of alt-right icon, Andrew Tate, who has actual charges of human trafficking against him.
Even after all of this, Kanye went even lower when planning his own Sunday Service reunion … He announced that at the reunion event, only males were allowed, no fat people were allowed, everyone had to have “Sean Combs” complexion or darker, everyone must have shaved heads and must be comfortable wearing swastikas. While he said this, he wore a black klansman hood.
This event thankfully never ended up happening, but this might be the true nail in the coffin for him with truly no point of return. It is heartbreaking and disturbing to see the mental unraveling of the man that was once known as one of biggest names in the music industry. He was once someone who was seen as the voice of the voiceless early in his career, especially when “The College Dropout” was released. However, now he is someone who symbolizes hate and evil just for clicks and attention. He is mentally unwell and this unraveling won’t fully stop until he receives the mental help he needs.
