Nick Stampone, a 2020 graduate of West Essex, has been appointed as the district’s Communications Officer, marking a significant step in his career with the goal of improving communication between the administration and parents. In his new role, Stampone will be responsible for maintaining and updating the district’s website, managing social media platforms, distributing email notifications and publicizing district events.
Stampone’s responsibilities are vital, updating the district’s website and maximizing the impact of social media platforms to effectively engage with the community by providing coverage of district events through photography and press releases. His journey to this pivotal position began at West Essex, where he was deeply involved in extracurricular activities that honed his leadership and communication skills, notably as the Drum Major of the Marching Band, President of the Italian Club and an active participant in Masquers.
Following his graduation, Nick pursued higher education at Fairfield University, undertaking a double major in Marketing and Management, with minors in Communication and Music. This multidisciplinary approach equipped him with a diverse skill set, further enhanced by internships in marketing and communications at leading organizations and collaborative efforts with Fairfield University’s Marketing and Communications department.
Now, as Nick returns to his alma mater, he brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to shine a spotlight on the school district’s vibrant activities, accomplishments, and initiatives. His commitment to fostering a community that is informed and connected reflects his professional capabilities and dedication to giving back to the school that shaped his early years.
Having graduated from Fairfield University with a double major in Marketing and Management, accompanied by minors in Communication and Music, Stampone’s passion for marketing communications and education led him back to West Essex.
“I have always had a deep passion for education,” Stampone said. “Throughout the years, I have taught and worked with children in various jobs/volunteer positions, and there is nothing I adore more. It’s a perfect combination of my love for marketing and education at an amazing school that I once called home. I’m so excited to be back!”
In his role, Stampone oversees the district’s website and social media presence, aiming to rejuvenate online communications and foster improved community engagement.
“My hope is to introduce these things to our district, which will help elevate it even further,” Stampone said. “If we can accomplish this, we will continue to rise and will have an even stronger connection with members of our community.”
