The Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants in a crushing 40-0 victory Sunday night, Sept. 10. With the high expectations for the Giants this season, the loss disappointed many fans, especially considering the two teams’ long-standing rivalry.
As the game progressed, the offensive line’s performance was shown to be especially concerning. Evan Neal, a rookie for the Giants, struggled to block a ferocious Cowboys defensive line and the unit combined failed to defend, the quarterback, Daniel Jones.
Despite their loss, the Giants avoided the bottom of the MMQB NFL power rankings. The New York Giants are now open at No. 27 in the MMQB power rankings.
The Giants beat the Arizona Cardinals on Sept. 17, coming back from the devastating loss and leaving the Giants fans with hope.
Some Giants fans remain optimistic, hoping it was just one unlucky game. But many adaptions to the lineup and future plays will need to be made to avoid an unfavorable season.
