James yet again showcased his talent by breaking the scoring record.

LeBron James has broken the NBA all-time scoring record of 38,387 points, previously set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In an exciting Los Angeles Lakers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game on Feb. 7, James scored his 36th point of the day with about 10.9 seconds left in the 3rd quarter, setting the new scoring record: 38,388 points.

Thousands, both in the stadium and on TV, witnessed James make history as the crowd went wild.

“I felt like I was sitting on top of the arena tonight,” James said in his post game conference. “So that moment was one of them when I kind of teared up a little bit. It was a ‘I can’t believe what’s going on’ tears.”

After setting the record, the referees temporarily paused the game to celebrate James’ accomplishment. A tribute played on the big screen at Crypto.com Arena, highlighting career accomplishments for James. His family joined him in celebrating the moment, accompanied by Abdul-Jabbar.

Abdul-Jabbar then passed a basketball to James, symbolizing the passing of a torch from one talented player to another.

James graciously accepted this title, thanking the NBA commissioner Adam Silver and late NBA commissioner David Stern. He also vowed to audiences that he is going to play basketball as long as he feels good mentally and physically.

“I thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of something I’ve always dreamed about,” James said. “To be able to be in the presence of such a legend as great as Kareem, it’s very humbling.”

James has dedicated more than 20 years to playing in the NBA, putting him amongst the longest careers to date. With his over 10,000 career assists and new record, James has officially made his mark on the NBA, ensuring his lasting legacy and impact in the league.
