Unique Pup Cutz Grooming is a family owned business located in Fairfield that specializes in dog grooming. This business is owned by the Przybylinski family. Stacy Przybylinski has been passionate about dog grooming ever since she was a 13-year-old girl. This dog grooming business is especially unique compared to others because of its gentle treatment. They mostly work with dogs with special needs who may have anxiety or dogs that simply don’t like to be groomed. This business uses aroma therapy such as essential oils to soothe the dogs as well as having their walls very specifically colored to make it a peaceful environment for the dogs. Stacy and her business go to competitions and are known for their work around the world.

What is your favorite part of your job? Probably getting to know the dogs and making them look good.

How did you learn the skills of grooming a dog? I started dog grooming when I was 13 years old; I was a dog show groomer and worked for a top dog show handler. One day I simply picked up a comb and scissors and started.

What characteristics do you look for in people when hiring them to work for you? I like to hire young dog groomers, not necessarily by age, but groomers that are somewhat just starting out. I like to train them and give them all opportunities.

What makes your business unique as opposed to others? We provide a calm environment for the dogs. Plus, we are extremely knowledgeable. I’m crazy about education, sanitation, looking for things on the dog or wrong with the dog. I am also extremely passionate about the dog’s haircut and it following the clean standard, or what the owner wants. Last, it’s just a really kind and calm grooming environment. Everything from the colors of the walls to the smells in the salon are designed to keep the dogs calm so that they can relax and enjoy the dog grooming process.
