Baseball looks to knock it out of the park in 2020
As the winter chill fades, baseball is back for vengeance after suffering a first round exit in 2019. With Coach Eric Johnson returning this year, the Knights look to strike led by a strong senior class.
“Seniors are so important,” Johnson said, “To be honest, they can make and break a season. You have seniors that are ready. I feel like you know, this is their team and they’re ready to be an example.”
A key component is the tough culture that has been built in the program.
“Anytime I talk to another coach, they know what they’re in for when they face us,” Johnson said. “You know, there’s never like, let’s put them on the schedule because that will be an easy one. It’s almost like it’s hard to make schedules because people want to avoid you.”
The Knights are in line for a breakout season this year; the team has a deep bench with players that are ready to make an impact, and will do everything to win a state title.
