Volleyball eyes program growth this season
The program is relatively young, but the West Essex boys volleyball team has been on a tear in recent years, and hopes to make a great impression in the county this spring.
Coaches William Humes and Bryan McNaught plan to develop a strong program that attracts all kinds of players. The Knights record of 13-8 last year allowed them to move up into the top flight in the county this spring. Coach McNaught said that he has high expectations for the team moving forward in 2020.
“Coach Humes and I expect the team to work hard, to play hard, and to compete every time we step into the gym,” McNaught said. “We have developed a reputation as a hardworking team that is tough out even for the strongest teams in the county.”
As a growing sport at WE, the boys’ work ethic is setting them up for success this spring. With the groundwork laid, the team is ready to serve up a new set of challenges and spike them down in their upgraded division this season
