Golf seeks repeat championship in 2020

With spring sports on the horizon, the West Essex golf team is looking to continue the success of their 2019 season this upcoming spring. The team had a monumental season last year, accomplishing their second state sectional title in three years and a second place finish in the Group 2 Tournament of Champions.

Returning all-state juniors Garrett Kessler and Ava Lozito will continue to lead the team alongside seniors Anthony Slekis and Doug Russo. Head Coach John Regan has high hopes of the team continuing their success into this spring season.

“We are looking forward to defending our state sectional title and competing for a state group championship,” Regan said. “Our team has accomplished great things over the last two years and we have goals to keep it going this season.”
