Yellow is the new black: no seriously, everyone is wearing it. Yellow Vans, yellow nails, yellow shirts, yellow phone cases, you name it. This bright color is a cool trend and it is the kick off for this summer.

VSCO is filled with tanned girls wearing yellow bathing suits, with mustard colored toenails while holding sunflowers. It is everywhere and there is no escaping it.

“I didn’t even realize it was a trend,” history teacher Abigail Martin said.  “You should wear whatever color looks good on you and if it’s yellow then go for it.”

“I think it’s annoying because I always wore yellow and now people think it’s OK to wear it again,” freshman Vin Panzarino said. “You don’t just switch on and off.”

“Yellow is flattering on a lot of skin tones and it’s a happy color.” junior Alexis Cruz said. “Everyone loves to wear it.. now at least.”

Yellow is everywhere and it’s not going away anytime soon. This trend is spreading fast so go get that yellow tube top and yellow manicure soon.
